On Giants’ Shoulders IS NOT:
A tutoring, homework help, or “Big Brother/Big Sister” type program.

On Giants’ Shoulders IS:
  • A  resource tool for elementary or middle school teachers to motivate students.
  • A community service program for high school students.

It is a simple strategy, using 15 minute once per week online group chats with older (high school) peers, to repetitively motivate and inspire underperforming elementary and middle school students to excel academically and socially and to respect their teachers, schools, peers and the learning process.

For some students, this program is all that is needed.  For others, it provides the inspiration for students to enroll in and meaningfully engage with supplemental programs such as tutoring, homework help or other traditional mentoring programs.

Small groups of 3 high school role model/mentee pairs share each computer during supervised group chats.
